Why Easy Purchasing?

Easy Purchasing simplifies the workflow for supply planning in Dynamics 365 Business Central and calculates a requisition plan which can you process with ease!

A simple purchase proposal flow is vital for an efficient procurement process. You want to keep control of what you order and understand where the demand originates from. For example, to see if the demand comes from a sales order, or from your own inventory. Easy Purchasing assists you to place orders on time, make sure no outstanding sales orders are missed, and keep track of already placed purchase orders. This without the hassle of cancelling old orders, moving dates, or creating multiple supply orders for one demand order.

How Easy Purchasing Works

To do this Easy Purchasing provides you with an completely new option in the Requisition Worksheet to calculate and fill the demand in the Requisition Worksheet. It will calculate all demand and supply, and provides a clear proposal for the items you’ll need to order, that you can process with the already available features in the Requisition Worksheet. To simplify the output Easy Purchasing only provides a purchase supply with one line per location. It excludes a lot of variables like SKU’s, Variants and UOM’s other than the Base Unit of Measure. Of course, the Lead Time of the Item is taken into account, but all the other parameters for dates or time periods are not included. This will give a clear view of the quantity to order for the item without having to mentally juggle a lot of numbers.

How to Get Started

To get started with the Easy Purchasing extension, you need to install the extension in your Business Central environment from Microsoft AppSource. For on-premises installations, you can download the required files and install them manually. Please note that you can try out the Easy Purchasing extension completely for free by installing it directly from Microsoft AppSource in one of your Business Central Sandbox environments; no trial period, no obligations!

In our online Installation Manual you can find all the instructions you need to install the extension and configure permissions. Then it is just a matter of opening the Easy Purchasing Setup Wizard page and following the steps, as described in the Setup section of the installation manual.
